Poor ovarian reserve- PRP, Stem cell therapy
Poor ovarian reserve is a condition where a woman’s ovaries produce fewer eggs, often due to age or other factors. Women with poor ovarian reserve may face difficulties conceiving naturally or through traditional fertility treatments. At Dr. Abdul Basith’s clinic, innovative therapies such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy are offered to rejuvenate ovarian function and improve fertility outcomes.
PRP therapy involves using the patient’s own blood to stimulate ovarian tissue. A small amount of blood is drawn, processed to concentrate the platelets, and then injected into the ovaries. The growth factors in PRP are believed to promote tissue regeneration, potentially increasing egg production and improving ovarian response to fertility treatments.
Stem cell therapy, another cutting-edge treatment, involves using the body’s own stem cells to regenerate ovarian tissue. In this procedure, stem cells are harvested from the patient’s bone marrow or adipose tissue and then injected into the ovaries. This therapy is still experimental but has shown promise in rejuvenating ovarian function and restoring fertility in women with poor ovarian reserve.
These treatments are particularly beneficial for women who are not ready for egg donation but have diminished ovarian reserve, such as those diagnosed with premature ovarian failure or those with low Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) levels. By improving ovarian function, PRP and stem cell therapy offer hope to women who may not have responded well to conventional fertility treatments.
At Dr. Abdul Basith’s clinic, each patient’s condition is evaluated thoroughly, and personalised treatment plans are developed to give them the best chance of achieving pregnancy, even with a poor ovarian reserve.
