unexplained infertility
Unexplained infertility is a frustrating diagnosis for many couples who have been unable to conceive despite normal results from standard fertility tests. At Dr. Abdul Basith’s clinic, couples facing unexplained infertility are offered a range of advanced diagnostic tools and treatment options to increase their chances of achieving a successful pregnancy.
Unexplained infertility is diagnosed when standard evaluations, including semen analysis, ovulation tracking, and imaging studies of the reproductive organs, show no clear cause for infertility. This can be a challenging diagnosis, as it leaves couples without an obvious issue to address. However, unexplained infertility does not mean that conception is impossible, and there are several treatment options available.
At Dr. Abdul Basith’s clinic, treatment may begin with lifestyle modifications, including recommendations for diet, exercise, and stress management, as these factors can sometimes impact fertility. For couples who have not had success with these approaches, assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilisation (IVF) may be recommended. IVF with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is often used in cases of unexplained infertility to maximise the chances of fertilisation.
In some cases, advanced diagnostic tests, such as hysteroscopy or laparoscopy, may be performed to identify subtle issues such as endometriosis or pelvic adhesions that may not be detectable through standard testing.
With a personalised approach to care, Dr. Abdul Basith’s clinic provides couples with the best possible chance of overcoming unexplained infertility and achieving their goal of starting a family.
