Thin Endometrium
The endometrium, or uterine lining, plays a critical role in embryo implantation during pregnancy. A thin endometrium, measuring less than 7mm, can make it difficult for an embryo to implant, resulting in a lower chance of successful pregnancy. At Dr. Abdul Basith’s clinic, specialised treatments are available to improve the thickness and health of the endometrium, increasing the likelihood of a successful pregnancy.
A thin endometrium can result from a variety of factors, including hormonal imbalances, previous uterine surgeries, infections, or the prolonged use of contraceptives. To address this condition, Dr. Basith offers personalised treatment plans tailored to the individual’s specific cause of thin endometrium.
Hormonal therapies are often the first line of treatment. Oestrogen supplements, taken either orally, as injections, or through patches, can stimulate endometrial growth. Additionally, medications such as Sildenafil (Viagra) or G-CSF (granulocyte-colony stimulating factor) may be used to improve blood flow to the uterus and promote endometrial growth.
For women who do not respond to medication, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is an innovative option. PRP is injected into the uterine lining to stimulate tissue regeneration and improve endometrial receptivity. This advanced therapy has shown promising results in helping women with chronic thin endometrium achieve pregnancy.
At Dr. Abdul Basith’s clinic, patients are carefully monitored through regular ultrasounds to track the thickness of the endometrium. By combining advanced technology with personalised care, Dr. Basith helps women overcome thin endometrium and improves their chances of successful implantation and a healthy pregnancy.
